Testing task: navigate to the last unchecked radio button in a group in reading mode

With JAWS in reading mode, describe how JAWS behaves when performing task "Navigate to the last radio button in the group. Note: You may need to press certain commands (such as Up Arrow) multiple times to hear all information relating to the radio button and group."

Test instructions

1. Restore default settings for JAWS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on a link after the radio group.
3. Verify the Virtual Cursor is active by pressing Alt+Delete. If it is not, turn on the Virtual Cursor by pressing Insert+Z.
4. Navigate to the last radio button in the group. Note: You may need to press certain commands (such as Up Arrow) multiple times to hear all information relating to the radio button and group.
5. Using the following commands, Navigate to the last radio button in the group. Note: You may need to press certain commands (such as Up Arrow) multiple times to hear all information relating to the radio button and group.
   • Shift+F
   • Shift+A
   • Up Arrow

Success Criteria

To pass this test, JAWS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

1. Role 'group' is conveyed
2. Name of the group, 'Pizza Crust', is conveyed
3. role 'radio button' is conveyed
4. name of the radio button, 'Thin crust', is conveyed
5. State of the radio button, 'unchecked', is conveyed
6. Position of the radio button, 3, is conveyed
7. Number of radio buttons in the group, 3, is conveyed
